You know I was actually enjoying your story and applauding you for holding your marriage together instead of hitting divorce room. But saying patriarchy is not oppressive yanked me off my seat.

Are you kidding me? Please stop reading your Bible backwards. I’m a Christian and have been through my fair share of traumatic experiences and one thing that held me together and still does is my faith in Christ. And I’m not one to support divorce either. In fact I would rather be single than marry and divorce later. Divorce will bore a side of me I hate. That’s my choice anyway.

Submission in marriage isn’t one sided. When a man loves his wife as Christ does means he is extremely loving, caring and loyal.

But then again, yours is an atheist, which is why you had to take on the burden of submitting all by yourself.

But please, stop casting off a wrong notion that oppression is glory. Or that submission is a duty of only wives.

In all prayer works everytime. Even for none believers.
