You are right. I think self-help coaches try to complicate consistency. Committing to your goal requires persistent effort. But how you choose to execute each task determines how consistent you are.
If my goal is to publish 30 articles in a month. I don't stick to a daily routine of writing for an hour. I could write two articles or more in a day and have free days to do other stuff.
Consist feels like a routine and becomes frustrating when you don't include other activities in between.
