Yes, I agree. It's his house, his decision. But why did he have to hide his true intentions about the man cave? Why did he get the room done when she was away?

If he didn't value her opinion, why did he allow her involvement in decorating other sides of the house? If he knows he sees no future with her, why does he accept the wife privileges she has been giving him?

So it's cool to lead her on but suddenly remember the house isn't their when he deems fit?

You see, I think Tatiana is the one who dodged a bullet here. She has been communicating that she wants more from the relationship, but obviously James doesn't.

Two years of relationship isn't a joke you can dismiss in a conniving way like James did. If he isn't comfortable with her presence he should have spoken up, he has every right to do so.

From where I see it, Tatiana was sacrificing way too much for a man who doesn't deserve her. He has shown her where she stands, so she should accept action for what it is and walk away.

As for whether a man cave should exist in a home or not, it shouldn’t. From my experience, most of my relationships end because I don't compromise my single lifestyle.

And when you keep a 'man cave' or 'she shed', you are living a single life in a partnered setting. A major red flag for the success and stability of the relationship.

Before you walk into partnership, you must be ready to compromise the comforts of single life in other to incorporate the other person into the relationship. Or else that partnership is bound to fail.
