Why would a learned woman be with an abusive partner? She inevitably saw the warning signs, why didn’t she leave him sooner?

This last fight cannot be the first fight with him, yet she stayed. So leaving with your life intact is better than dying in the relationship? He’s not even her husband, so why did she not break up with him?

When I ask these questions people see it as being insensitive. But the reason I keep asking is so I can wake up those in abusive relationships reading these stories.

It’s more heartbreaking to see women repeat the same circle of mistake despite all the news and experiences they see.
