Well, I guess you can say that. For me, I leave out the emotional bit entirely. It's safer to enjoy the sex and conveniences. I don't want to go to be in a loving relationship with someone I'm sharing with everyone else.

There is a difference between caring for someone and loving someone. Love makes people jealous and you shouldn't underestimate how vindictive a jealous lover can be. I don't think the risk is worth it in open relationships.
