This is where society has become problematic with their thoughts and acts of kindness. Some people misuse good deeds, no questions on that. However, not all good deeds are intended for bad.

I remember when I has an accidental, I was using clutches. When I go to the mall or when I want to enter a cab, you see someone running to the door to leave it open for me to enter. I could open door for myself. But their act of kindness in today's world will be trespassing.

It's funny how we make negative assumptions of every kind act. And yet, we accuse one another for being selfish.

Our problem is our negative mindset. We seem to assume too much and that is a problem. Unless an act of kindness has been used wrong and proven with subsequent falsely induced actions we shouldn't generalise that thoughtfulness is breaking people's boundaries.

Opinions like this is why kindness will no longer exist in the future. We are killing humanity with all these assumptions. All the senerios you gave can be viewed in a positive light too. I hope you know that.

There is always that posibility that the receiver of the ice cream appreciated the gesture, ate the ice cream and nothing happened. So assumptions can be good or bad depending on the mindset of the receiver and giver.
