The Merchant of Venice remains my favourite Shakespearean novel.

A pound of flesh seems like it might be something worth having, although it would perhaps mean death to the donor.

The Merchant of Venice remains my favourite Shakespearean novel. In high school I was among those that acted the drama. That's how I fell in love with Portia.
