Besides, I couldn’t control the one thing that had been on my mind for the past year. My daughter still hadn’t heard from her new university about her transfer admission for January 2025. She hopes to finish up her degree, and was told everything was OK, but since last December, she has heard nothing.

That's strange. They usually send a response with two months. Is it the same daughter that had a clash with her lecture some time last year? I hope the school is not spinning some kind of revenge attack.
