Oh dear, I don't think the comment was meant to negate your pain.

You just reminded me of a comment I made on someone's post. My commented rejected a different angle from what the writes wrote but she was expecting me to comment on the happiness she shared on the post like every other commenter did.

I guess she felt I wasn't happy for her through her response so I went back and left another comment celebrating her.

When I read a story I capture on point in the story and comment on it. Sometimes my comment might not be what the writers want to read so it hurts their feelings.

I think it’s the same for the commenter you talked about. He or she just commented on a different point in your story.

However, some people do intentionally do what you are saying. They make their pain seem bigger than yours and that's wrong because pain is pain and we feel the same thunder in our heart when we are hurt.
