Like you said, your man cave is a place to decompress stress. Why does it have to be only you who uses that space? You think women don't need stress decompressing space too? Or you think women don't get stressed? The concept of a "man cave" is that women are restricted from using the room. So if yours is a spare room your wife has access to, then it's not a man cave.
