It sucks to be an aunt. My daughter will be 18 this June but I feel closer to my nephews and niece than to her. She even gets jealous about the love I shower on y nephew and niece.

But in the end, the person they hold dear is their parents, which is good. I have never thought of that selfless act the way you do but reading your story it gave me a thought.

It's a blessing to be an aunt. Though the kids may not value that now or show their appreciation for aunts. They eventually, do when they get older. I know this because I still remember the love I got from my aunts but I don't express my gratitude as much as I should.

So the real truth is not that we don't remember aunties love, but that we don't express it. Today, I will be sending a heartfelt message to all my aunties. Thanks to you, I know how it feels to not appreciate selfless love.
