I'd change seats when I'm sitting in the middle of two obese people. As much as I want to show empathy, I also like my comfort when I fly.

I think obese people should be considerate too and choose seats that will not inconvenient others. If there is anyone selfish here is the person who tries to occupy another's space for their comfort.
