I was once a teenager and I know most children make most of their irreversible mistakes at that age.

I did not invalidate my daughter’s feeling. What I did was make her realize that she's responsible for herself if she chose a decision against my plans for her.

I will not be her backup plan if her decision becomes a mistake she has to live with.
