I see. So it's okay for you to assume your best should break up with his boyfriend because your think your friend is treated badly, but is not okay for me to assume my friend should not break up with his girlfriend because I think they are good together?

There is hypocrisy along the line of your thought, don't you think? Or are you just concerned I wrote about my experience and you didn't?

Whatever your point is, I'm not assuming I know my friend's relationship better than he does. With his situation, he can't think straight and ignores the good side to his relationship and as his friend is my obligation to advise him on the best course to handle his emotions.
