It's not just the patriarchal influence on the beauty that we should be worried about but why would a person lose their human conscience on the altar of fleeting moments.

Let's not forget those who didn't make it outside the surgical room when they went to get a fix. Or those who didn't live to enjoy the fake beauty they got like MJ.

Having high self-confidence is admirable but if the price you have to pay is taking your physical appearance to the extreme, I really don't think it's worth it.
