I don't make the mistake of driving in a new territory. Last time I was in Mexico, a friends drove me anywhere I wanted to go. I was flushed by the scenery. The police at checkpoints were much nicer than what I see in the Us. But at night you can easily hit the black cows because they are everywhere at that time.
