I agree. I fear the death of chivalry resulted in the subsequent death of romance. Women have become obnoxious with gesture or action that shows vulnerability.

I miss the good old dating fashion. We make it harder for men to express their desires and we are not stepping up to fill the gap we created.

Every good side to women's independence is negatively affecting dating culture. So I guess we will have to find a way to make new rules that will benefit all genders. Starting with men accepting romantic invitations from women. Most men still find it humiliating when women ask them out.
