How a 5-Minute Morning Stretch Changed My Fitness Game
This is the best way to exercise without stressing your muscles.
Stretching is one of the components of an effective fitness routine I often ignore. I find it boring so I hit the sweat exercises as soon as I begin my workout session.
Most times I’m in a rush to complete my morning workout session and get to the office so it’s easy to overlook the stretching part.
But lately, I started taking my stretching seriously. I was getting sore from the intensive training session and needed to cut back on the number of workouts I did in the morning.
I figured instead of doing low-intensive workouts with longer sets, I could include some quick stretch exercises to balance my routine.
And surprisingly, it paid off.
If anyone had told me that incorporating a 5-minute stretch session into my 15-minute morning workout routine would improve my performance and focus I would have laughed at them.
In my book, you need more than 5 minutes of stretching to see the results in your body.
But I was wrong.
I realized that five minutes was more than enough to kick your muscles into action and increase blood flow all over your body.
